Tennessee is home to numerous game, fish, and other wildlife species. Primary hunts include white tail deer, wild turkey, doves, and ducks. Popular fish include bass, trout, and catfish. East Tennessee is home to the Smokey Mountains and filled with wildlife opportunities. Headed west across the state, one comes across the Cumberland Plateau, home to Catoosa Game Preserve. In Middle Tennessee, deer and turkey are plenteous. West Tennessee offers ample game bird and fishing opportunities, all the way to the Mississippi River and Memphis.
